Whether you are in town
for graduation or alumni weekend, a college visit, business meeting
or family gathering, we look forward to your stay with us. Enjoy
one night or several nights in this 1900's home, once part of the
Governor Silas Wright property.
The Whalen House is located in the village of Canton
within walking distance to St. Lawrence University and the many
restaurants and shops of our historic downtown.
It is a 5-10 minute drive across town
to SUNY-Canton. Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam are also within
an easy driving distance of about 20 minutes. |
Your
hostess, Mary Jo Whalen, is a St. Lawrence University graduate,
a retired teacher and active outdoors woman. The grounds of this
historic home include a large yard and in season, you can stroll
through Mary's lovely gardens.
Please call should you need more sleeping room---
we can usually accommodate a few more. Pets are welcome at the
discretion of the hostess. We thank our guests for the courtesy
of not smoking in our home.
